For dental providers

Are you a dental care provider? Find out how to join the Healthy Kids Dental network and learn more about the program.

How to transition care

If you're a new member and received covered Healthy Kids Dental services from another dental plan or the State of Michigan, we can help you continue your care. We'll make sure you can continue to receive services from network and out-of-network dentists.

To see if your dentist is in our network:

If your dentist is not in our network, we'll help you find a new dentist that's right for your family. We'll also honor any prior authorizations approved by your last dental plan or the State of Michigan for covered Healthy Kids Dental services for the first 90 days after you have joined our plan.

We'll also cover services if you lose Medicaid or CHIP eligibility while enrolled in our plan. We'll cover the care as long as it is given within 90 days from the date eligibility was lost.

How to file grievances or appeals

If you decide to have someone represent you or act for you at any time during the grievance or appeal process, you can either:

  1. Send us a letter informing us that you want someone else to represent you and include in the letter their contact information or,
  2. Fill out the Designation of Authorized Representative for Appeal Form (PDF) and send it to us.

We understand there may be times when you need a ride to your dental services or procedures. Healthy Kids Dental can help get you there at no cost to you.
