Community and Senior Advisory Councils

Building Healthier Communities…Together

An important part of our community engagement approach is making sure that we listen to our community stakeholders. We have eight Community Advisory Councils throughout Michigan and one Senior Advisory Council. These councils provide an opportunity to understand community needs, encourage networking and collaboration and determine the best ways that BCBSM can help address community needs. Members from community, business, health care, human services, senior care, government and education make up the membership.

The following Community Advisory Councils meet on a quarterly basis:

  • Southeast Michigan CAC
  • Grand Rapids CAC
  • Kalamazoo CAC
  • Greater Flint CAC
  • Greater Lansing CAC
  • Great Lakes Bay CAC
  • Marquette CAC
  • Traverse City CAC

Meetings of the Senior Advisory Council are held six times a year.
